Fire and Feast Bushcraft
Spend time in the woodland, use natural materials to make utensils, and cook up a feast on our new Fire and Feast Bushcraft activity.
Taking place in Bluestone's tranquil ancient forest, you'll get a chance to learn the ways of the wild as you try out bushcraft techniques for lighting, preparing, and cooking on a campfire. You'll be able to put the skills to the test too, as you whip up a rustic feast to enjoy in the magical woodland setting.
The session takes place outside, and while there is a cover from the rain, but guests should being adequate clothing for the weather on the day.
Food is included in the session, with bread baked on the fire, sausages cooked on a stick, and soup. If you have any dietary requirements, please contact the Reservations Team ahead of your stay and we will do our best to accommodate.
Hot Drinks are also provided.
The COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving, and as we reopen activities our approach will be as flexible as possible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff. As a result, this activity has been reimagined and changed to fit within our new enhanced health and safety measures, without compromising on the Free Range fun!
Protective Measures: Toilets nearby for hand washing pre-session and advised at completion.
Physical Distancing: Social distancing guidance will be given by the instructor throughout the session.
Limited-Contact Enhancements: Instructor led session with verbal communication from a distance.
Increased and Enhanced Cleaning: Touch points, equipment sanitised pre and post session. Hand sanitiser available on course. Guests asked if any prior flu like symptoms.
Enhanced Communication with Staff: all team members have been given new enhanced training to listen to any concerns you may have, we will take immediate action to place you at ease during the session. Face mask, visor, apron and gloves may be used for instructor if required.
