Why everyone should try a holiday in Wales

If you've never considered a break in Wales and are excited to visit somewhere new, why not make us your next holiday destination?

Rugged coastline, unforgiving landscape, captivating language and a rich, unique history and culture, and are all within a few hours drive and the best bit, no stress of the airport or changing currency.

Why Choose Wales?

Wales is a slice of adventure blessed with space and unspoiled landscape, where you can find freedom and feel alive again. If you've never ventured across the boarder - here's a few things you can look forward to on a holiday in Wales.

Spectacular Landscape

The first thing you'll notice when you get to Wales is the dramatic and diverse landscape. From the peaks of Snowdonia, to the golden shores of Pembrokeshire, people have been falling in love with Wales' wild land for hundreds of years.

Wales alone contains three National Parks, five areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 74 Nature Reserves, as well as 42% of the coastline of the south and west designated as Heritage Coast.

Adreneline Pumping Adventures

With all this on offer, it's no wonder Wales has emerged as an adventurers paradise, where rock climbing, caving, kayaking, paddleboarding, coasteering and hiking are part of every day life and the perfect escape from the urban jungle.

It's not just visitors that come to marvel at the incredible scenery either, thousands of species of flora and fauna have made the mountains, ancient forests and rugged coastlines their homes creating a beautiful and wild country.Of course, we're biased, but Pembrokeshire is our favourite part of Wales and is proud to be the only official coastal National Park in the UK.

Heroism, Romance and Magic: The Land of Castles

When it comes to castles, nowhere can compete with Wales. You can find over 600 of the majestic buildings within it's boarders, meaning our small country has more castles per square mile than anywhere else in the world - each with their own unique and rich history.

Step inside and you'll be whisked back to the time of dragons, magic, knights and chivalry. You'll learn about heroic battles, romantic tragedies and epic wars through the ages. Some of the most famous - and infamous - are right here in Pembrokeshire, with Carew Castle, Pembroke Castle and the medieval walls of Tenby all just a short distance away.

Spectacular Light Shows

It's amazing what you can discover when you switch the lights off and that includes whole galaxies! Here in South West Wales we are lucky enough to have one of the best view of the night sky in the whole of the UK.

The low light pollution and large expanse of open countryside makes Pembrokeshire perfect for stargazing, with several locations near the resort certified as excellent for stargazing.

On a clear night, is one of the only places you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye.

Croeso i Gymru

Wales is the country of poetry and song and we're proud of our ancient, rich language that's over 1400 years old.

You might even notice some of those beautiful words weaved into the culture of Bluestone.

From our brand new Seren (star) dome, to Tŷ Coffi (Coffee House), and our resort areas Carn Menyn (Butter Rock) and Pentre Ifan (Ifan's Village), we embrace Welsh and help our guests to fall in love with it as well.
