Druidston Haven

A magical, secluded bay, Druidston Haven is nestled along St Bride’s Bay and is a favourite among locals who flock to the unspoiled, quiet beach to marvel at its natural beauty.

Tucked into the west coast between Nolton Haven and Broad Haven, it’s easy to miss Druidston as you drive along the coastal road but if you do find it, you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful sandy bay, enclosed on three-side by magnificent cliffs.

Natural arches, caves and rockpools have formed in the towering the cliffsides that are worth an explore, or simply sit on the sand and admire the vast expanse of stretched out in front of you – it’s a wonderous sight. At low tide you can walk round to Madoc’s Haven, a small bay just to the north of Druidston where you’ll find rockpools and caves in the cliffside.

The beach is used by a nearby riding school, so expect to bump into a few horses during your visit. The easterly facing beach is the perfect place to watch the sunset.

How To Get There

To reach the beach you’re going to need to do a bit of walking as there’s no road leading directly to it. You can reach it via the coast path from both directions, or, if you are lucky there are a few spaces to park along the single-track road near the beach (SA62 3NG).

These fill-up quickly on a sunny day, and if you do managed to get one, it’s always good to be mindful that it’s a public road and cars and larger vehicles will need to get past while you’re enjoying yourself. From the road the beach is down a stony path, that isn’t too steep but may prove difficult for buggies and wheelchairs.
