Pembrokeshire’s Bluestone celebrates its employees hard work with ACE Awards

The hard work and determination of staff at a Pembrokeshire business over the past 18 months has been recognised with dedicated awards celebrating their achievements.

Employees at Bluestone National Park Resort near Narberth were nominated by their colleagues for the Bluestone ACE Awards. It comes following a tough a year for the tourism sector locally and nationally.

“As with most other local businesses, 2020 and 2021 has meant everyone has had to work a lot harder. We know everyone has been affected in one way or another during this time and that includes our hard-working team,” said Stuart Jaynes, Director of People Services.

“We wanted to recognise our team’s hard work and commitment, in addition to our rising stars. The ACE Awards are a great way for everyone to celebrate their achievements and that of their colleagues.”

The awards follow an Appreciation Day held at Bluestone on Friday, 24 September. Staff were treated to some sweet treats and a High Street voucher.

“Our team is what makes and drives Bluestone. We’re about training and supporting our employees to provide the best possible service to our guests. In addition to the ACE Awards and appreciation day we heavily invest in helping team members gain additional skills through training and working towards nationally recognised qualifications,” added Stuart.

“It is investment such as this that helps us retain employees, many of whom go on to new roles and promotion within the business.”

Bluestone recently announced the creation of new jobs at the resort as it continues to expand with an additional phase of lodges scheduled where work will commence in 2022. A range of jobs are available throughout the business, from activities to food and beverage, administration to sales and marketing.
